MDI is pleased to announce the availability of the Mineral Database in a variety of formats. While the database and search software is being made available at no cost, there is a nominal charge (in US dollars payable by VISA via fax) to help cover the costs of production and shipping.

Plugged-in version of the MINERAL database, for use on a computer.

This mini-CD for use in most data CD players, contains the MINERAL database and search software in two versions;
1. MDI version (PC only)
which enables HTML access to the information as well as web sites with related data.
2. FileMaker version (PC only)

$15 (US dollars)
Unplugged version of the MINERAL database, for use in the field.

This pocket-sized Mineral mini-manual contains a subset of the information found in the complete MINERAL database CD. It is meant as a reference while in the field, to quickly and conveniently provide information regarding a mineral's chemistry or to help confirm an identification where the user has knowledge of the mineral possibilities.
